What a gorgeous day! It was supposed to rain, but the sun came out and stayed out for this special occasion. St Edwards Lodge is an absolutely gorgeous new wedding venue, and it was in full glory for Nicole and Nick’s wedding! In the evening the sky was stunning – pink with big white fluffy clouds, which made for beautiful golden hour photos. Nicole and Nick are such a wonderful couple and I was truly honored to get to know them and photograph their special day!

Here are some of my personal highlights from the day:

• I love the way the venue is both historical and modern at the same time. This isn’t an easy thing to achieve, but they have it spot on at St Edwards Lodge!
• The first look in the art corridor was really special, I really liked the very cool light coming through the long architectural hallway. Nicole and Nick were pretty nervous before seeing each other and so it was lovely to see them come together and breathe a collective sigh of relief.
• The ceremony spot was out behind the stunning old brick building and the beautiful flower archway on the sweeping lawns was a stunning focal point for the nuptials.
• The bride entered the ceremony from the far side of the old brick building. The very long walk was incredibly dramatic as the light came through her long veil (that was made by her mom!)
• Nick’s dad was the officiant and it was a really special moment when he pronounced them husband and wife as the church bells rang out from the tower! I may or may not have a good a little misty eyed 🙂
• The dance party was so much fun. Isaac (the DJ) had everyone jumping and dancing hard until the very last song of the evening.
